Best tutoring session I’ve had for algebra!
I came into this session feeling really unsure about multi-step linear equations, especially when variables were on both sides. My tutor was incredibly patient and didn’t just tell me the answers—they had me set up each step and explain my reasoning out loud while they checked my work. That made a huge difference because I could actually hear where my thinking was going wrong and fix it myself. The biggest breakthrough was with negative signs when distributing. I kept making small sign errors, and it was so frustrating. My tutor showed me to rewrite subtraction as adding a negative before distributing, and it honestly felt like a lightbulb moment.
