I specialize in subjects involving English, including but not limited to: writing, grammar, vocabulary, spelling, reading, etc. My experience and credentials that make me a great choice and qualified to meet your needs are outlined below.
I graduated with honors from the University of North Florida in 2011 where I also made the Dean’s List. I hold a bachelor of science degree in communication with a concentration in journalism and an English minor.
During my last semester in college, I was an intern at the Florida Times-Union, the major newspaper of Jacksonville, Florida. My internship involved writing news articles for local papers and blogging regularly on the Times-Union website. Accuracy in my writing was crucial in this role.
I completed high school via the Florida Virtual School, which required me to have the discipline and dedication to comprehend and complete lessons on my own and in a timely manner. While in high school, I was a student mentor with a program called S.H.O.C.K (Students Helping Others Collect Knowledge). I was also a writer and editor for the student newspaper.
After graduating college, I worked for several years at an advertising agency in Cleveland, Ohio, where I managed projects for one of the agency’s largest clients. Some of my duties included reviewing and editing advertising creative materials, developing documents and memos, and writing advertising copy.
Most recently, I have worked as a freelance writer for various online publications.
My experiences thus far have provided me with the knowledge in order for me to confidently say I am capable of serving as a tutor in any of the subjects I specialize in as listed on my profile.
For a bit more background about me, I decided to become a tutor to combine my love of English and grammar with my passion for teaching. I enjoy encouraging students to meet their fullest potential. I believe every student has different learning
