Hi! My name is Rupa, and I am currently a Neuroscience student at Case Western Reserve University with a 4.0 GPA. I enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects that can initially feel intimidating, especially math and medical terminology. In high school, I earned a 5 on both the AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC exams, so I understand both the material itself and the strategies needed to succeed in AP-level courses and exams.
I also specialize in medical terminology tutoring. I previously worked as a Medical Terminology Tutor, where I created practice materials, explained complex concepts in simpler ways, and helped students strengthen long-term retention. In addition, I placed 1st in Michigan in the HOSA Medical Terminology event and qualified for the international competition. Through my involvement with BioConnects, a nonprofit focused on STEM education, I also helped teach anatomy focused lessons to younger students and gained experience adapting explanations to different learning styles.
My tutoring style is very step-by-step and personalized. I know that many students understand pieces of a topic but struggle connecting everything together, especially in calculus. I focus on making students feel comfortable asking questions and explaining concepts in a way that actually makes sense rather than relying only on memorization. My goal is for students to leave sessions feeling more confident, less stressed, and more prepared for their classes and exams.
