Equipped with an undergraduate degree in French and a one year program at the Sorbonne in Paris, I have over 10 years of tutoring in French to High School students and adults wanting to travel in France. I also have a Master's Degree in Education.

I have a track record of proven results, seeing grade improvement in many students within weeks due to a focused approach of guidance in tutoring. I find that one on one attention helps students avoid second guessing, and become more confident in tackling a foreign language. Injecting humor and giving anecdotes from my experience of living in Paris makes the language come alive and relevant. I enjoy teaching the culture elements of the language.

For over ten years I've tutored one on one in both their homes and at their school. Zoom is also a great way to tutor especially to learn and practice the spoken language.

A little bit about me:

I started learning French in High School and fell in love with Paris and all things French when I visited Paris for the first time after graduation. French was my major at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio with native French teachers. My learning was solidified when I returned to Paris my senior year of college. To augment my studies and immerse myself in the French language and culture, I was an au pair girl for a wonderful Parisian family with whom I traveled often on holiday. I am still close with them and see them everytime I visit Paris.

After selling my San Francisco advertising business I retuned to Paris and got an apartment which I kept for 11 years. I made many French friends in Paris and I see them also when I travel to Paris and when they travel to the United States.

My travels include stays for months at a time in Europe, the UK, South America, Asia and some parts of Africa.

I am an energetic and compassionate tutor, bringing out the best in students to help them succeed and love the language as much as I do.
