While obtaining my undergraduate degree however, I did take up to graduate level courses in statistics.
I am a strong advocate of teaching to fill gaps in foundational knowledge and building upon those skills. The biggest problem I see most of my students have is a shaky foundation or misunderstanding one specific topic, and it often causes them to spiral or feel like they aren't good at math. However, I've personally found that as long as those foundational gaps are taught, that students achieve great outcomes and become confident in themselves once again.
