9-12 Writing and Reading Tutor with a Creative Writing specialty

Hi! I'm Kloe! I am currently a sophomore at Bowling Green State University. I am currently trying to obtain my undergraduate degree in Secondary English Education with a specialization in creative writing and folklore. While I am still in the process of getting my degree, I have many hours of experience with teaching and tutoring. In my high school, I acted as a tutor in English, World History, and Physics two days a week for an hour after school.

I am willing to go the extra mile for my students. I wish to create an environment where my students feel that they are able to grow not only as a writer, but as a young adult. I am currently studying how to teach reading and writing to students mainly in the high school level. Apart from being an avid reader, I have taken may classes in learning to analyze and truly understand literature. As for writing, I have been apart of many creative writing programs.

I believe that I would be a good special needs tutor because I am someone who has ADHD, ASD, Dyslexia, and much more. I believe that I have a different outlook than a tutor that does not have these diagnoses. I know what it is like to struggle and overcome the challenges that these diagnoses have on school work and school life. I want to provide help for my students in the way that I never really had.
