About Cole

Bio

I hold a bachelors degree from the University of Cincinnati in computer science. I have over five hundred hours of tutoring experience in ACT, SAT, and math topics. When I was in high school, I scored perfect or near perfect on the ACT, SAT, and PSAT and became a National Merit Scholar. These scores and accolades helped me to get accepted into a plethora of universities and ultimately earn a full-ride scholarship.

These scores and accolades helped me to get accepted into a plethora of universities and ultimately earn a full-ride scholarship.

I hope to combine my standardized test skills, tutoring experience, and college applications knowledge to boost students' scores, confidence, and overall potential when looking at and preparing for universities. I know that a good tutor can inspire confidence and success in a student, and I believe that my skills and style of teaching would be greatly beneficial towards that goal.

The typical student of mine receives weekly or biweekly lessons with takehome assignments between lessons. My students usually start tutoring 3 months or sooner before a SAT/ACT, and most of them report back top 97th percentile or better performance, with several of my 2025 PSAT students already having qualified for national merit semi-finalist status.

I have tutored individually and in small groups and done so both in person and online. I have seen the best results when a student already has taken practice tests and can show me where they excel and struggle, so I would request that you hold on to a completed practice test or two. I started tutoring with Cole as soon as it became apparent that I needed help, and he picked out exactly what I needed help on. My first attempt at the ACT, I got a 30 on the math section. What a great top-tier math tutor! With a little surgical precision, Cole was able to cut to the chase and help my daughter with a last minute hail-Mary before a repeat SAT test. Given her Module 2 questions missed on practice tests, he was able to help her navigate the underlying issues she had. She had a 1480 SAT score last month and felt she knew everything but couldn’t get over the 1500+ hump. Cole did such a great job going over the steps she needed to take to improve her test technique in addition to a good “what to study” recommendation following the math session they had. He will definitely be our go-to-tutor for any upcoming math tutoring from now on! Thanks to Cole, she felt better prepared and ready way beyond what she had felt with self-study alone.
