I have 28 years of experience in teaching both private and group lessons on guitar and bass guitar. I have a BA in Classical and Jazz Guitar Performance. However, I teach, record and perform a wide variety of styles that include Rock (classic, oldies, pop, and metal) to Country (classic and modern). Acoustic and electric. I teach beginners and intermediate players of all ages and love what I do.

I like to combine a traditional approach of time tested proven material that gets results fast with material of the students choosing once a basic skill set is built, usually within a couple to a few weeks. I encourage students to read music but don't require it.

I think my 28 years of teaching people of all ages and styles is my greatest asset. I also feel that my education in music and music education help me convey thoughts and ideas in a way that is understandable, and more importantly applicable to the student in real world situations. And thirdly, I think my performance experience and continuing to perform is an asset because I'm in the game, I can tell you and show you from experience, and it keeps me learning and practicing myself. How can I motivate someone to learn and practice if I myself am not doing the same?

I really do feel that there are a lot of great teachers out there, and you can learn from anyone. You could even eventually teach yourself. What I'm going to do is come up with a realistic game plan of lessons, and practice based on your goals and time commitment, and save you a lot of time and frustration with helpful hints, pointers, and demonstration as well as constructive criticism.

I have taught both private and group lessons in guitar, bass guitar and ukulele beginning June 12, 1990 as a sub contractor for a local music store. In 2010 I left that store and started my own studios on the east and west sides of Cincinnati OH. I have studied formally Classical and Jazz guitar as well as rock and country. Styles ranging from pop to classic, metal to Mozart, classsic to modern country. I continue to perform 2-5 nights a week and have opened for countless national acts.

First lesson

He pushed me way past my comfort level most off the things that he showed me were things I had never even done or thought about before it should be interesting to see how much of it I really understood and if not I'm sure the second lesson will clarify the things that I think that he wanted me to do but it was still a lot of fun working on what I perceived he wanted me to do I can say should be interesting to see on the second lesson whether I indeed was right or whether I was wrong in learning in my world there's no such thing is wrong just different ways to get to the same location
