Hi, I’m Dr. Kelly Craig, a writer and educator with over 10 years of experience teaching writing and literature in the college classroom. I'm ready to meet you where you are to achieve your writing goals!

I hold a Ph. D. in Literary and Cultural Studies from the University of Utah, and I teach writing and literature courses at the college level. My higher education experience also includes academic advising and college counseling. I’ve published creative writing in print and online, and I was recently selected as a finalist for the St. Lawrence Book Award.

I love writing and literary study, but I understand that not everyone does! I’m passionate about helping both eager and reluctant writers of all ages find confidence and independence in their writing. Together, we’ll assess your writing goals and make a plan to achieve them. Whether you’d like help with one stubborn assignment, or you’d like to set up a long term lesson series to level up your writing, I’m excited to be your guide!

I offer support services for both academic and creative writing, for literary study, and for the college admissions process. I specialize in working with high school, college, and adult students.

I have a wide range of knowledge about different post-high school options, supporting students in their pursuits from technical college of the ivy league. I've worked in many different types of higher ed institutions, and I know what colleges are looking for in applicants.

My son is in 6th grade and needs to work on expanding his essays with more detail. She worked through a book report with him, helping and suggesting improvements while never putting down his ideas, etc. My son was very happy with her also. We will continue working with her.

Great and affordable tutor!

Kelly assisted me in going over an essay for a college transfer application. She helped me clarify some key points in my paper, organize it to flow better, and made helpful suggestions. I think she is an affordable tutor for those who may not have enough money to spend $100 for an hour long session. Regardless of price, she is a great tutor and I recommend her!
