Kathleen is an outstanding tutor. I am a medical student, and I was struggling with Physiology and Biochemistry as medical school is very fast paced and there is a lot of material to cover in such little time. I am glad that I reached out to her through Wyzant because she has extensive knowledge in both subjects. She explains each lecture in a thorough, concise, and clear way. She also emphasizes the most important details that I would need to know as a physician. My professors did provide practice questions to prepare for the upcoming exams and because its medical school, most of the exam questions are in the form of clinical vignettes. Whenever, I was confused on why the correct answer was the correct one, she would explain thoroughly why the answer was the best answer and what key details to look for in the clinical vignettes that would help me arrive to the correct answer. As I took the exam, I approached each question in the same manner, and this resulted in my exam grades increasing greatly. I am very pleased with her tutoring as I was originally doing very poorly in these subjects. I was happy with my final grades thanks to the outstanding job Kathleen did by tutoring me. My only wish is that I had hired her at the start of med school. I feel more confident in myself and I can explain the material that we went over very well to others. Anyone learning these subjects will extremely benefit from her tutoring. She is not only an amazing tutor but a very lovely person.

Kathy has been working with my daughter who is a freshman in college and hoping to major in Biology. Prior to Kathy, she had taken Cell and Molecular Biology during freshman first semester and had quite a tough time, so she was quite skeptical about second semester. Before the sessions started, Kathy met with my daughter and myself, asked what my daughter's expectations were for the school year and made her feel very comfortable and confident about taking bio again. Kathleen has a true talent for boiling down some of the more complicated concepts inherent to Biochemistry and putting them into an easily understandable format. She is also armed with a surfeit of diagrams and the ability to help you interpret them. Some people know this subject matter, whereas it is clear Kathleen truly understands it. Kathleen is very personable, a consummate professional, and very patient. As a 41 year old attempting to change my career to medicine I am very glad to have found her to help with the MCAT and absolutely intend to further utilize her services should I ever be fortunate to get an acceptance. She is also very helpful with any General Chemistry problems you may have forgotten if you need a refresher. I cannot recommend her enough.

Kathleen has been a great help so far with hammering down the finer details of the metabolic pathways for Biochemistry and made the physiology of the organ systems much more digestible than provided with the Kaplan content review books. She was willing to sit and review my UWORLD practice exams and give me tips on how to approach questions and how to figure out what is important or not on a passage.
