Having studied several languages (German, Russian, Spanish, American Sign Language and Linguistics), I understand how challenging it can be. I have experience as an ESL classroom instructor, ESL assistant instructor and family tutor. I hold a graduate certificate in postsecondary literacy instruction from the University of Cincinnati as well as degrees in sociology, social work, and community health planning and administration. I am a member of TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) and stay current with developments and best practices in the field.
