I hold a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and am entering UC College of Medicine this fall as an M1. I began tutoring recently, working one-on-one online with pre-med undergraduates preparing for the MCAT. My sessions are conducted over Google Meet and tailored entirely to where each student is struggling.

I scored a 132 on CARS and a 518 on the MCAT. I spent months developing and refining my CARS strategy during my own prep, and have since helped students from the MCAT community work through the section's unique reading and reasoning demands. My focus is on teaching students to actively track what the author is doing throughout a passage. Mastering this skill improves comprehension and directly addresses the 50/50 questions where so many points are lost.

Beyond knowledgable, patient, and organized tutor.

Austen is not only an incredible tutor but he is very organized and attentive and he caters each session to your own needs. He is truly a master at the CARS section and was able to expand and improve my comprehension in such a short amount of time - something I was not able to do on my own. He helped me approach the section in ways I would never have thought to before. He is also very organized and always has a game plan which I really appreciated. He consistently tried to find new ways to target my weaknesses individually and then gave me ways and strategies to work on them myself outside of our sessions too. It's apparent he wants you to succeed and I couldn't recommend him enough!
