I specialize in helping students understand difficult concepts in a clear, step-by-step way so they can build real confidence—not just memorize answers. I’ve completed advanced coursework in General Chemistry I & II, Organic Chemistry I & II, Biochemistry, Biology, Physiology, Genetics, and Calculus II, which allows me to explain topics from both a student and tutor perspective.

For the past three years, I have volunteered as a tutor in Cincinnati public schools, working with students in grades 1–6 in both one-on-one and small group settings. This experience has helped me develop patience, adaptability, and the ability to break down complex material into simple, understandable steps.

My tutoring style is interactive and supportive. I frequently handwrite out problems step-by-step during sessions, walking students through the reasoning behind each step so they can follow along visually and understand how to arrive at the answer on their own. I use whiteboard tools, visual explanations, and guided problem-solving to keep students engaged and confident throughout each session.

I also emphasize study habits and organization strategies to help students succeed beyond tutoring sessions. Flexible, WELL PREPARED, knew all of the topics in detail!

Owen reached out before our session and asked what topics I needed to go over. I gave him the titles of 4 chapters and when it came to the session he showed up with pages of notes me to keep and we went through it all. He hand wrote all the notes before hand and drew pictures and really explained things in detail. When I didn’t understand things, he was very patient and was really good at rephrasing things until it stuck in my brain. He is THE BEST for anyone that is a visual learner. Cell biology is hard stuff but he breaks it down and is also really good at connecting all the little pieces that are thrown at you. I seriously could not recommend him enough! If you are thinking about getting help, Owen is your guy!!!
