Hi! I have a graduate degree in Business Analytics and a strong background in mathematics, statistics, and problem-solving. I also earned my undergraduate degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from The Ohio State University, where I was accepted into the honors engineering program. My academic experience includes high performance in math-focused coursework, including a 5 on AP Calculus AB and a 166 (80th percentile) score on the quantitative section of the GRE. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of algebraic concepts and how they apply to real-world situations.

In my professional work, I regularly analyze data and build mathematical models, and I also train and support others in understanding complex concepts. This has strengthened my ability to break down difficult material into clear, manageable steps. While my background is in analytics, a big part of what I do involves teaching and communicating ideas in a way that others can easily understand. I enjoy helping students build confidence in math by simplifying challenging topics and focusing on core fundamentals.

I primarily tutor middle school and high school students in subjects such as prealgebra, algebra, and SAT/ACT math. My tutoring approach is patient, structured, and tailored to each student’s learning style. I work with students to identify where confusion begins, reinforce key concepts, and guide them step-by-step through problems until they feel comfortable solving them independently. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them develop lasting confidence and problem-solving skills that will support their long-term success.

Approved Subjects

ACT Math

ACT Math

I have a strong quantitative background through my graduate degree in Business Analytics and my professional work as a data scientist. Much of the ACT Math section relies on algebra, functions, and logical problem-solving skills that are foundational to statistics and data analysis. I help students approach ACT-style problems methodically and learn efficient strategies for working through questions under time pressure. My goal is to build both confidence and problem-solving skills so students can perform their best on test day.
Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I have a strong background in mathematics through my graduate work in Business Analytics and my professional work as a data scientist. Algebra is foundational to statistics, modeling, and many quantitative methods I use regularly. I enjoy helping students break down problems step-by-step and understand the reasoning behind the formulas, not just memorize procedures. My goal is to help students build confidence in algebra and develop the problem-solving skills needed for exams like the ACT and SAT.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I have a strong quantitative background through my graduate degree in Business Analytics and my professional work as a data scientist. Algebra II concepts such as functions, exponentials, logarithms, and systems of equations are foundational to statistics and data analysis. I help students understand the reasoning behind algebraic methods and work through problems step-by-step rather than relying on memorization alone. My goal is to help students build confidence in Algebra II and strengthen the problem-solving skills needed for exams and future math courses.
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

I have a strong quantitative background through my graduate degree in Business Analytics and my professional work as a data scientist. Prealgebra focuses on foundational skills such as arithmetic, fractions, basic equations, and logical problem solving that support all future math courses. I enjoy helping students break problems into simple steps and develop a clear understanding of the concepts rather than memorizing procedures. My goal is to build confidence in math and create a strong foundation for success in Algebra and beyond.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I have a strong quantitative background through my graduate degree in Business Analytics and my professional work as a data scientist. Precalculus topics such as functions, trigonometry, logarithms, and exponential models are closely related to concepts used in statistics and quantitative modeling. I help students understand how these ideas connect and guide them through problems step-by-step so they can approach complex questions with confidence. My goal is to prepare students for success in precalculus, calculus, and standardized exams.
SAT Math

SAT Math

I specialize in helping students build strong foundations in algebra, functions, and problem-solving skills needed for the SAT Math section. My approach focuses on breaking down complex problems into simple, repeatable steps so students can improve both accuracy and speed. I emphasize understanding patterns and strategies commonly tested on the SAT, rather than memorization. With a background in analytics and structured problem-solving, I aim to help students gain confidence and achieve measurable score improvements.
