Hello! I’m Aaron, a medical student and former TA with over five years of experience helping premed and undergraduate students excel. I specialize in MCAT CARS strategy and foundational science courses, including biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, genetics, and bioethics; helping students build confidence, critical reasoning, and strong study habits that lead to lasting success.
I have over five years of one-on-one tutoring experience working with premed and undergraduate students in introductory biology, genetics, molecular/cellular biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, bioethics, and academic writing. During graduate school, I served as both a lab and lecture teaching assistant, where I created exams, graded written work, and provided individualized academic support.
For MCAT preparation, I focus heavily on CARS strategy, drawing on my humanities training to help students strengthen reading comprehension, passage analysis, argument mapping, and question logic. Rather than relying on shortcuts or gimmicks, I teach students how to approach passages the way test writers intend, build confidence with unfamiliar material, and avoid common reasoning traps. I also integrate test-taking strategies that translate well to the science sections and future medical training.
My tutoring sessions are highly customizable and may include targeted content review, guided practice questions, passage walkthroughs, strategy workshops, or a combination of these based on the student’s goals. As a medical student, I bring a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, pathology, and the basic sciences, and I enjoy helping students connect foundational coursework to clinical relevance.
Above all, I strive to foster a supportive, judgment-free learning environment where mistakes are viewed as opportunities for growth. Premed coursework and MCAT preparation can be overwhelming, and my goal is to help students develop effective study habits, strong reasoning skills, and lasting confidence. Thank you for considering me!
