Hi! I’m a math tutor helping students from elementary school through college-level gain confidence, understanding, and success in math. I hold a B.A. in Mathematics from Emory University and spent 8 years teaching middle- and high-school math, including an ACT prep elective where students improved their scores by an average of 5 points. Over the years, I’ve taught all levels of math, from 6th grade math through calculus, which gives me a deep understanding of how foundational concepts build on one another as students progress in their math journey.
I especially enjoy teaching elementary math, algebra, and geometry, and my approach is centered on seeing math through the student’s lens. Rather than simply telling students “this is how it is,” I take time to understand how they approach problems and the vocabulary they use. This allows me to identify gaps, adapt instruction, and support each student’s unique thinking.
I make math interactive and engaging using tools like Desmos and GeoGebra, along with digital whiteboards, real-world examples, and creative explanations. Lessons combine conceptual understanding, targeted practice, and problem-solving strategies for homework, tests, and real-world application — all at a pace that fits the student.
I’m patient, encouraging, and adaptable, helping students grow step by step while making math approachable, understandable, and even enjoyable. My goal is to build both skills and confidence, giving students the foundation they need to succeed in math now and in the future.
