Hi! My name is Max, and I’m passionate about helping students reach their full potential and achieve their goals. I bring a proven record of academic achievement: I graduated from MIT with a degree in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Computer Science, scored a perfect 36 on the ACT, and am a Texas UIL Science State Champion. I want to use the skills I’ve gained to help students eager to learn and succeed.
My teaching experience has prepared me to bring out the best in students. I served as a teaching assistant for undergraduate Physics at MIT, where I helped students solve problems, clarified challenging concepts, and emphasized deep understanding over rote memorization. I’ve also informally tutored peers in high school and college-level math, chemistry, and physics.
My tutoring philosophy is simple: every student is different, so no two lessons are the same. I tailor sessions to each student’s needs, emphasizing conceptual understanding, step-by-step problem solving, and practical strategies for exams, all within a supportive and engaging environment. I focus on ACT prep, math, chemistry, and physics for students from high school to college.
My combination of teaching experience and academic credentials allows me to provide high-quality instruction that builds confidence, deepens understanding, and achieves measurable results. I am excited to help students excel!
