I am Leigh, though I go by Meredith, my middle name. I have been a teacher and tutor for over half my life. I teach and tutor because I love learning and love spending time with kids of all ages. I am here to help.

As a teacher, I have worked with students as young as 2nd grade and as old as 40+, in English, history, math, speech, and more. I have been a tutor in a whole host of test prep topics for over 20 years. I have trained other teachers, written materials, and found a host of routes to my main goal, which is always to help students gain skills, build confidence, and reach their goals.

I have worked with hundreds of students over the last 25+ years and helped them raise their scores through good strategies, meaningful content review, and growing self-confidence.

I have helped students prepare for curricular and standardized tests for many years, including AP exams such as AP US History. I work as a learning specialist and tutor at a school where a significant number of students take this exam. I also taught American history in the classroom and have an undergraduate degree in history.

I have been an ELA teacher, an executive function coach, and a teacher and tutor helping students prepare for standardized tests for many years. Learning new vocabulary words can be fun, it really can!
