Expert AND Kind Tutor
I reached out to Justin when I had just 4 days before a major Neuroscience exam. My class structure was terrible, and I was drowning in TONS of information. In no time, Justin and I set up a schedule to meet and prepare for the exam. He essentially "re-lectured" me on all of the material and caught me up to speed. I learned more in these few sessions than I did in the THREE weeks that I was taught this material in class. Not only did I complete the exam successfully, but nearly every question I encountered was directly related to important points he provided in our sessions. I am now working with Justin twice a week to regularly review lecture material... best decision ever. He uses real-world examples to make sense of abstract topics. In addition to having just an insane amount of neuroscience knowledge, he has the ability to create a stress-free environment where I feel comfortable admitting I have no idea what is happening. Excellent tutor
This year my daughter has been taking a challenging biology course and her grades have hovered in the B+ range all year. In this second semester she asked to work with a tutor largely because her college counselor said it would be great to end her junior year with an A- in Bio . I found Justin on Wyzant and through reading his profile and reviews he seemed really strong to me. He is! My daughter's grades on her tests and quizzes immediately jumped 5-6 points after working with Justin. She said, "He doesn't use notes, he doesn't look things up, he doesn't hesitate. I ask him a question and he just begins explaining the concept really well from memory". My daughter is definitely getting that A- and her teacher told her she's on track for an A. Excellent tutor for microbiology and other nursing classes
Justin is an excellent tutor with a wide variety of knowledge. He works through the content while making it exciting and interesting. The student leaves each session talking about and wanting to learn more. He weaves in information that applies to other classes too. That allows for higher level critical thinking necessary for the student in her program and school. Justin is easy to communicate with and responds quickly.
