I have a very strong interest in pursuing a teaching career. With experience working at both classroom and Laboratory, as well as different topics Chemistry, Biochemistry and Molecular biology for paramedical and medical student, I have a diverse background with much to offer.
My first classroom teaching experience was as lecturer, teaching General chemistry and biochemistry for almost 4 years. As a teaching assistant during my graduate study at the National University of Singapore, I have gained valuable experience leading undergraduate discussion sections for both practical Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. After moving to Toronto, Canada, during my postdoctoral study, I was supervising and training undergraduate students on their summer research project and honors research projects. In the past ten years, besides working on my various research projects, I was continuing teaching and working with medical student joining our laboratory for their summer project and one year fellowship.
During this time, I have gained and developed upon already solid learning and teaching skills, and found the most successful means of educating to be in lecturer and participation session with students. I have worked with diverse student population from Iran, Singapore, Canada and United States of America.
