I love teaching students of all ages. I have ten years experience teaching at Kent State but also have four years substitute teaching at the K-12 level with a concentration at the middle school and high school levels, Because I'm passionate about education and learning, my goal is to make learning relevant to individual learners. To achieve that goal, I always ask students to let me know what their interests and goals are. Learning should always be interesting and engaging.
My education and professional experience make me an effective and helpful tutor in areas of writing, grammar and proofreading. As part of my professional responsibilities in both teaching and public relations, I've written and helped others to write research papers, speeches, presentations, feature articles, press releases, cover letters, promotional materials, case studies and floor statements.
Also, I have both education and professional experience to be an effective tutor in American History and government. Through my experience in Washington, I had the opportunity to see how our government works up close, and I can share that with my students. Having personal anecdotes and experiences to share makes education more relevant.
