Working with elementary students who need help with math is also one of my strengths. I still have a large supply of my reading and math resources available.
I am patient and innovative in my teaching style and take great pride and pleasure when my students succeed. This past school year I was voted and awarded Teacher of The Year by my fellow faculty members. I am open to working with elementary/middle school students who need help. My technology skills are well above average, specially shown the last nine weeks with current conditions in education.
I enjoy tutoring students one on one to be able to identify student's strengths and areas that need help. I am personable, patient and very understanding.
I have a strong background in upper elementary math and still have many of the resources used in the past. At the last school I taught in before moving to Florida, I was responsible for all math instruction for grades 4 - 6 in a small elementary school of 180 students.
I have strong skills in recognizing reading abilities and being able to build on and improve those skills. I use excellent grammar and writing skills to enhance reading and writing capabilities. Several of my pasts students have become teachers or other professional positions and have contacted me to acknowledge how the skills and habits learned in my classes enhanced their professional career choices.
I am a successful retired teacher who is readily available daytime and early evenings to help those students/parents who feel they need help.
