Spanish, ESL and History Tutor

I am currently an elementary teacher at a bilingual school. I graduated from The College of Wooster majoring in Spanish and History with a minor in Education. I love teaching and working with students. I have a background in historical research, Spanish language and culture, TESOL, and methods of teaching. I have tutored ESL and Spanish since 2017 and I have taught full-time since 2020.

During the day, I enjoy working with younger students and in the evening, with older students online. I love working with all age levels and my older students find I have a lot of patience, especially since I work with young students during the day. My passion is to help students discover their full potential and love of learning.

I currently work at a bilingual school where my students' first language is not English. I have a TESOL Certificate from Boise State University and have tutored ESL since 2017. I tutored international students at my college and completed my practicum working with students at the University of Dayton and in Korea online.

I majored in Spanish and taught PreK-5th grade Spanish. I have also spent extensive time abroad, mainly in Argentina and Chile. I did not start learning Spanish until high school and because of this, I can often relate to students as learners of Spanish.

I majored in History and have experience with historical research which includes essay writing, bibliographies, working with primary and secondary resources, etc. I worked at a museum during college and am well-versed in Chicago Manuel of style citation. I also scored a 5 on my AP American History Test in high school.
