I am a graduate of a state certified school for the career of Registered Nursing. I believe in education. Not only in the book aspect of nursing but also in the practice of the art of nursing. This being said... a little about myself. I graduated from the School of Nursing in June of 1982. I immediately took my boards and passed with the highest scores achieved in my school up until that time. As far as I know, it's a distinction I still hold. I immediately started working in the critical care areas of the hospital. This includes Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Trauma ICU and to a lesser degree, Emergency Department and Flight Nursing. With any intensive Nursing comes the privilege of tutoring. This not only includes nurses starting their careers in Intensive Nursing but also Student Nurses going through their rotations in critical care. To be able to tutor, I had to have an excellent database in clinical care of patients, pathopysiology, disease morphology, pharmacology, and the tennent of helping a person achieve their highest level of wellness possible by using the Nursing Process.
I would be an outstanding NCLEX tutor because of my excellent primary and continued education in the field of nursing. Because of being the type of nurse I am, I am driven to learn more and have always believed the knowledge gained is only useful when passed on to another nurse.
My take on Nursing is the nurse her or himself. It has to be in you. You have to have the drive to want to help people and be at the highest level of education and understanding you can attain. If the compassion and drive are in you, if you are not afraid of doing the groundwork, contact me. I will help you achieve your Nursing Career goals.
