I have been a nurse since 2010, beginning my career as an LPN before advancing to my RN and earning a Master’s degree in Nursing Education from Western Governors University. I bring both extensive clinical experience and formal training in nursing education, along with leadership experience teaching and supporting nurses across a variety of settings.
I can assist with medical terminology, nursing fundamentals, mental health nursing, nursing writing, clinical reasoning, and test-taking strategies. I work especially well with LPNs, RNs, LPN-to-RN bridge students, new nurses, and nursing students who struggle with exams or mental health content.
My teaching style is highly individualized and learner-centered. I start by understanding how each student learns best (visual, auditory, etc.) and then focus on identifying the specific areas they find most challenging. From there, we create a clear, realistic game plan for success. I strongly believe in using real-world clinical examples, as connecting concepts to practice helps students better understand, retain, and apply information.
I strive to create a supportive, judgment-free learning environment—no question is ever a “stupid” question. My goal is to help learners truly understand the why behind nursing concepts so they can build confidence, improve exam performance, and succeed in both school and practice.
