I was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Growing u my first job was tutoring my sister and brother. When I was in the 8th grade I was a part of this reading after school program. In this program, we read books to younger children and did a mini lesson with them. Since then I try and find a tutoring program similar.

I graduated from Bowling Green State University with my Bachelor’s degrees. My major was Intervention Specialist (Special-Ed Teacher). I have been tutoring for many years throughout my college career rather it was for a class or placement. The thing I love most about tutoring is creative a document so the students that I am tutoring can see their growth over time. I think it’s important for the students to see their growth I believe that this encourages them. When you can open a binder, and say wow I’ve came a long way. For example, I only knew 10 of my dolch words day one. Now we are on Day 10 and I know 30 words. I believe that tracking your growth builds your confidence.
I believe that tutoring is a way to give back to your community and help the next generation and a way to gain more experience outside of the classroom. I am very creative when differentiating lesson, making lesson more creative and interesting for students. After each tutoring session I do a self-reflection to see if there is something that I could have done different.
I am very creative when it comes to making lesson differentiating lesson for students.
