About Darla

Bio

I have spent many years as a Praxis scorer and question developer.

And for many years I was frustrated that I couldn't give meaningful feedback to test takers.

Now, through tutoring, I can give feedback to pre-service teachers getting ready to take many of the Praxis exams. Using my insight from working with the Praxis tests and developing questions, I can provide information from the inside and give feedback that is authentic to the real test.

Along with scoring for Praxis, I also have 20 years of classroom experience with working kindergarten through graduate level classes. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher.

I have been teaching online since 2006.

I have a background of classroom work but I have also worked for Praxis/ETS and Pearson as a scorer for many pre-service teacher exams.

During the rollout of the Common Core, I served as a content expert for the state of Ohio's Department of Education. In this role, I aligned the state curriculum standards and worked to develop the posted model curriculum.

I have successfully helped many students pass the MTLE teacher exams. My specialty areas are Elementary Ed., Reading, ELA, and General Math. I have also worked with students in Social Studies and Science.

Praxis Math Tutor
