Hi, there! My name is Hannah, and I am a family nurse practitioner and registered nurse. After graduating from the University of Michigan with my bachelor degree, I found nursing as my passion and pursued my master's degree in nursing. After working in the pediatric cardiac ICU for some time, I now work in an office as an NP and here on Wyzant. I graduated with my MSN in December of 2023, and I am so excited about the opportunity to help future nurses succeed in their classes. Whether you need help with school test prep, homework, NCLEX, or AANP prep, I can definitely assist! I passed the NCLEX and AANP on my first try right after I finished school. I would love to help you be the best nurse you can be so that we can provide the best care to our patients and their families!

I am dedicated to the nursing profession and love to help future nurses to feel as comfortable and prepared as possible going into their first nursing job. This starts with feeling confident about the information we learn in school, so I love to help others that may want or need a little extra help!

Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or if you would like to schedule a session!

I have two masters degrees in nursing and have completed several anatomy courses, including those at the MSN/nurse practitioner level. From my time working in an ICU and in an outpatient private practice, I have firsthand experience working with patients with both normal and abnormal anatomies.
Career Development

Career Development

Hi there! I'm a family nurse practitioner who has been through many different careers before I finally found my true passion in nursing. I started out thinking I wanted to be on Broadway, then thought I wanted to work on Capitol Hill, had a brief social worker career, and ultimately discovered nursing as my calling. I love to help others through their career development, whether in medicine (which I have significant firsthand knowledge about) or exploring other potential interests, in addition to application assistance for jobs, college, or graduate school. I specialize in advising pre-nursing students on their future careers as nurses. I have worked with students to advise them on program choices, job opportunities, internships, and overall career growth.
HESI (Nursing exam)

HESI (Nursing exam)

Hi, there! I'm a family nurse practitioner who is passionate about helping nursing students achieve their dreams. I am able to help with HESI preparation, amongst other standardized nursing board exam prep for NCLEX and AANP. Having taken the HESI myself 7 years ago and practiced as an CNA, RN, and NP since then, I am very comfortable with the material on this exam and the skills it takes to pass this exam.

Hi there! I am a family nurse practitioner and RN. I passed my NCLEX on the first try and know I can share my study tips and tricks as well as material explanations to help other students pass their NCLEX on the first try as well!

I am a family nurse practitioner and RN. I have a master's degree in nursing which I finished in 2021 and graduated in 2023 with my MSN. I graduated from nursing school with a 4.0 and have experience working in a pediatric cardiac ICU, outpatient allergy and asthma, plastic surgery, and wound care.

From my time working in an ICU and in an outpatient private practice, I have firsthand experience working with patients with both normal and abnormal physiologies.
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

I'm a family nurse practitioner who is passionate about helping others with their math skills. Math is so important to my job as a nurse practitioner because of my responsibilities to calculate doses of medications and lab results for patients, and I am constantly using pre-algebra skills in my work every day. I am happy to help students with their pre-algebra preparation up to the high-school level or if anyone needs help with dosage calculations for aspiring medical professionals!
Proofreading

Proofreading

Hi, there! I am a family nurse practitioner who is happy to help you with your essay and proofreading needs. I have written many applications over the years to colleges, jobs, and graduate schools, and I love to help others tailor their personal statements and check for grammatical errors. I have also written many papers for school, as I have completed my second master's degree, and can help with school-related essays from elementary school up to graduate school. Please contact me if you'd like to schedule a session together!
Writing

Writing

A family nurse practitioner by training, I love to help students with their writing assignments. Whether this is application essays, personal statements, or citation assistance and checks (specifically APA), I can tutor synchronously or asynchronously by suggesting edits on a shared document. I have my BA, MN, and MSN degrees, so I feel very comfortable with undergraduate and graduate-level academic writing.

Patient, Knowledgeable, Easy to talk to, Effective teaching

I have had several lessons with Hannah throughout multiple semesters of nursing school. She is an excellent tutor and teaches very well. I feel like she has done an excellent job at listening to what material is confusing to me and finding a teaching style that works for me to better understand what I am studying. She teaches in many different diverse ways which is so helpful to me due to my ADHD lol. I have never been bored learning from her and I always leave the session felling like I have learned more from her in an hour than my textbook has taught me all week. If you're looking for a tutor who genuinely understands nursing material, NCLEX questions, research studies, pharmacology, A&P, etcetera, and can teach it clearly... this is your gal.

Excellent Tutor detail oriented

Hannah proved to be an exceptional nursing math tutor. Her ability to break down complex concepts into understandable pieces was incredibly helpful. She quickly pinpointed my tendencies to overlook details and rush through questions, something no one had noticed before. Her insights have been invaluable, and I am grateful for her guidance. I definitely plan to continue learning with her.

Pharmacology

Hannah did a great job at going over my specific powerpoint from my class that I wanted to go over. She helped me remember the topics better by relating them to real life situations and explaining them in an easier way to understand. She also showed me a really great image for a topic that helped me remember it for my exam and gave me a bunch of study method suggestions.

Knowledgeable and Patient

Hannah read through my application papers for the ABSN program I am applying for and was super helpful with proofreading and brainstorming ideas. I thoroughly enjoyed our session, and she answered my many questions about nursing/school. With her experience and knowledge, she gave answers that quelled a lot of my worries. I am excited to book another session with her so that she can give a final look over my personal statement and essay questions. Highly recommend her services.

Patient, knowledgeable, easy to understand, and kind tutor

I have taken my NCLEX and failed two times before meeting with Hannah. The feeling of failing the NCLECX twice lowered my confidence greatly. Since our very first lesson, Hannah reminded me that I could still do this and that she would help me get there. That is exactly what she did. As we did more practice questions together and she corrected me on any knowledge deficits that I may have had, I began to feel more confident in myself. That is the key component that I was missing in order to pass this exam was confidence in answering the questions and just trusting my gut. Hannah instilled that confidence back in me and she believed in me the whole way. I am beyond thankful for Hannah. I truly do not believe that I could have gotten there without her astonishing knowledge on the material, her patience, her confidence in me and just her kindness altogether.
