Hello! My name is Heather and I am a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) currently working in northeast Ohio. CRNA’s are advanced practice nurses who receive specialized education and training to perform anesthetics for all types of surgeries. After earning my BSN nursing degree from Hiram College, I worked at the Cleveland Clinic in the heart and lung transplant intensive care unit. Following acceptance into anesthesia school I completed my training at Youngstown State University, and ultimately received my doctorate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. While there, I was presented with the Leadership in Anesthesia Award and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. I am certified in advanced cardiac, pediatric, and neonatal life support, and have taken advanced courses in trauma and pharmacology as well.

It is my goal to help young students, especially those interested in the medical field or already in nursing school. I enjoy using my advanced physiology background to assist students who may be struggling to pass tests or board certifications. As someone who had to work very hard for my education, I know how it feels when learning does not come naturally and requires extra work to comprehend. I understand the hardships that come along with balancing life activities and earning an education, and am looking forward to helping students learn in a judgement free zone.
