My goal as your tutor is to help you craft a stand-out college application. I can work with you from the brainstorming stage through final proofreading to ensure that your application is polished and represents you as a student. I am currently a third-year Sociology PhD student at the University of Southern California. As part of my program, I am a teaching assistant and grader for undergraduate students. This means that I am familiar with the expectations of students at elite universities. I learned that a good writing tutor does not simply edit other people's work but helps students to clarify their thinking and express themselves effectively. I will bring the skills I developed at the KCWC to supporting you in your college applications. Several years ago, I volunteered as a scholarship reader for scholarships through the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio. This experiences has familiarized me with the other side of admissions and scholarship committees. I look forward to helping you think through your application strategy and supporting you to present yourself effectively to admissions committees.
