Firstly, my background begins with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from SUNY Purchase. I am currently a registered representative with securities licenses for the SIE, Series 6, Series 63 and most recently the Series 26.
I have been tutoring for the last 5 years, and have been tutoring securities for the last 3 years. I've tutored for other websites in which I've helped several people pass their exams. I prefer to work solely 1-on-1 with my students in order to make sure they are prioritized as opposed to a classroom setting. Often my students have difficulty connecting to the material, in this case I utilize real world examples to bridge the gap. The manner in which I tutor allows me to adjust based upon the needs of the student. If the student needs a full thorough lecture, then I can provide that. If the student has very specific questions, I can help with that. I'm open to all students, and that includes those that are completely new to the material. My expertise in tutoring is helping the student understand the material, rather than memorization, as that is better for retention and test taking. Not only can I help you understand the material, I can help with test taking skills, such as strategies and developing better habits. In terms of scheduling, I am very flexible as I work all days of the week, so that both in my tutoring style and availability I can prioritize the student.
