I have several years of experience working with students in both classroom and one-on-one settings. I have worked as a teaching assistant for Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, where I supported middle and high school students in advanced STEM coursework, particularly astrophysics and applied mathematics. My responsibilities included leading lessons, offering individualized academic support, and evaluating student progress. Throughout my undergraduate, I worked part-time as an astronomy educator, which involved me planning and teaching content on a variety of exciting astronomy topics. Outside of formal teaching roles, I have also volunteered as a STEM educator, working with students across a wide range of ages and learning styles.
My tutoring approach is very versatile, as every student has a slightly different learning style. While some students may just need guidance on problem sets, other students may benefit more from conceptual review. Additionally, I have experience working with neurodivergent students, and I am familiar with how their learning style may differ. For all students, I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and tackling challenges.
