Hi my name is Marta, I am a native Polish speaker, born and raised in Poland where I lived for most of my life. I graduated from Polish High School and I've got my Master’s degree form Polish University - Jagiellonian University of Krakow, major: Polish-English Interpreting and Translation. Extremely Knowledgeable Polish Tutor
Marta is extremely knowledgeable in the Polish language as well as Polish history and culture. Since Marta currently spends part of the year residing in the US and part residing in Poland she has a unique perspective and approach to tutoring. When I began my Polish lessons with Marta my knowledge of Polish and my speaking ability were very limited. Thanks to Marta, in a very short period of time my knowledge of Polish words and language is much improved and I am now able to speak, read and write Polish quite effectively and comfortably. Marta has a very pleasant, comfortable and respectful approach to tutoring and is very accommodating. She has a great sense of humor and would periodically lighten up a lesson by introducing various Polish idioms. She has the ability to keep every lesson moving at a very nice pace and to make them interesting and enjoyable. I've had experience with other Polish tutors and Marta is by far the most knowledgeable, the most pleasant and most importantly the most effective and successful Polish tutor. I would highly recommend her to anyone wishing to have an enjoyable and successful Polish learning experience.

Very patient tutor
Marta and I are heading towards our fourth lesson, and I am very pleased with her. She's very attentive and patient. We're focusing on conversation and she makes Polish very easy to understand!

Wonderful Teacher!
Marta has been great thus far! I've been learning Polish on my own via Apps for eight years on-and-off. I wanted help to take my knowledge to the next level and get beyond broken conversations. Marta straight away picked up on my level and went into a deep dive of the basics to help me make connections on things (like grammar) that I had been introduced to by the Apps but never mastered or knew why they were as such. Marta is patient and I have ended each lesson with her feeling super confident and excited with my progress! I look forward to continuing working with Marta and highly recommend her!

Fabulous tutor!
I had a wonderful trip to Poland in September 2021 -- one reason it was so great was because of my Wyzant Polish teacher, Marta S. I visited Warsaw, Krakow and Gdansk, and also went on a day trip to Bialystok, where my Jewish grandfather Leo emigrated from over 100 years ago. Polish is such a difficult language, almost as difficult as Chinese and Arabic according to the U.S Department of State. But Marta not only made Polish easier, but fun! I felt comfortable reading signs, menus and even exchanging some greetings with Poles I met. Many younger Poles speak English, but they were so delighted when a native English-speaker could actually pronounce words correctly. Marta also answered my questions about Polish history, food and the culture. My classes with her were language classes and cultural orientation classes combined! I highly recommend Marta. Besides being a terrific teacher—knowledgeable, patient and flexible—she is a terrific person.

My kids love meeting with Marta every week. She is able to teach to their level, and have them excited to learn Polish every week, by making it fun. Even though they’ve only met a few times, their language has already improved!
