I am an accounting and audit professional with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Auditing, graduating with Excellent with Honors. I currently work in public accounting as an Audit Staff professional in New York City and am actively completing the U.S. CPA examination process. My professional experience also includes hands-on work in bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, QuickBooks, financial reporting, audit support, and individual tax preparation. This allows me to teach accounting not only from a textbook, but also through examples of how accounting actually works in the real world.
Teaching accounting is something I genuinely enjoy. I began helping classmates with accounting while I was in college and continued tutoring friends and other students after graduation while studying for the CPA exams. Several students I worked with significantly improved their understanding and earned strong grades. My approach is simple: I first identify exactly where the student is getting lost, explain the concept in plain language, walk through examples step by step, and then let the student solve problems independently until the process makes sense. I focus on understanding the logic behind accounting rather than simply memorizing journal entries or formulas.
I can help college and adult learners with introductory and intermediate accounting topics, financial accounting, journal entries, adjusting entries, financial statements, bank reconciliations, bookkeeping concepts, and exam preparation. Whether you are completely new to accounting, struggling with a specific chapter, preparing for an exam, or simply want someone who can explain a confusing topic in a different way, my goal is to make accounting feel manageable and logical. Sessions are tailored to the student’s course, learning style, and current level, and I am happy to work through practice problems together while helping students build the confidence to solve them on their own.
