I'm Ahuva! I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Binghamton University. Throughout my studying, I’ve gained a strong foundation in human behavior, cognitive processes, and learning theories, all of which help inform my approach to tutoring and teaching.
Although I am still in college, I have had the opportunity to tutor peers and younger students in both psychology and general education subjects. My experience includes peer tutoring for psychology courses, where I helped fellow students grasp difficult concepts, such as brain anatomy and behavior disorders.
I was also a general studies tutor and homework helper before I began college. Additionally, I teach art lessons to children of all ages. I have worked with middle school to college-aged students, primarily in one-on-one tutoring settings but also in small groups. As a college student myself, I connect well with students and understand the challenges they face in learning. I’ve also had the chance to tutor both in-person and virtually, giving me experience in adapting to different learning environments.
I’ve found that students benefit most when learning is interactive and tailored to their individual needs. I use a combination of methods including active learning, visual aids, real-world examples, and more.
