When I was young, my mother - an English teacher/librarian - and my father - a lawyer - showed me proper literacy and writing skills. When I was young, my mother - an English teacher/librarian - and my father - a lawyer - showed me proper literacy and writing skills. They also helped me with communication skills and analytical thinking by helping me with my learning when I needed help. However, I did not want to focus on the humanities and instead decided to pursue STEM. Using these techniques through college, I obtained a Bachelor's in applied physics with minors in computer science and mathematics with a 3.78 GPA. This emphasizes success across both major-specific courses and core curriculum. Having this excellent base, I am now looking forward to starting graduate school for a Master's in computer engineering in the coming fall of this year and am currently deciding between offers.
My educational background has helped in my tutoring background. I began tutoring in my neighborhood since my senior year of high school, assisting students who were having difficulty because of online learning during the COVID pandemic. This expanded to doing peer tutoring and group study sessions in college. Whether I’m working with a fourth grader on basic math and grammar or a college student wrestling with multivariable calculus, electrodynamics, or formulating an essay, I strive to meet students where they are and guide them to a point where the topic is clearer to them. I focus on a broad range of areas which reflect my past studies - areas such as physics, mathematics, computer science, and literature and writing. I have found success tutoring both online and in-person local are one-on-one tutoring, and while online is typically more convenient, in-person can help give more emphasis. I also arrange group study sessions for people in courses with upcoming tests who need help. Additionally, the one-on-one sessions, be it local K-12 students or college-level peer-tutoring, allow for me to focus on personalized support, while the group study sessions I organize for college courses can give the students an opportunity to collaborate and be confident for exam.
