My philosophy in tutoring is to receive effective feedback from students on what brings them to their highest learning potential. Having 6+ years in tutoring, I've graduated magna cum laude from Hunter College with an honors biochemistry degree, and scored a 519 (96th percentile) on my MCAT. I have scored highly in classes pertaining to chemistry (organic & general), biology, physics, and math (calculus & statistics). I am comfortable teaching middle school to college students various strategies to effectively retain information, utilize it practically, and achieve their personal academic goal through incremental, consistent plans that I help to create with the individual student in mind.
A bit more about me: In my undergraduate career, I've worked as a biochemistry TA, an ESL classroom teacher of a non-profit, and a medical assistant, communicating essential health concepts to patients. I am also an American Red Cross chapter leader to 150+ students and have written a senior thesis in BRCA1 breast cancer research.
I offer tutoring guidance in the subjects listed above, ranging from regents to AP or college-level sciences or mathematics. Thank you for taking the time to learn about me, I hope to work with you to achieve your academic success!
