My name is Giuseppe. I am a rising sophomore at Georgetown University intending on majoring in Business and Global Affairs with a potential minor in economics and Italian. I graduated from Xavier High School, an all boy's Jesuit High School in Manhattan at the top of my class where I completed challenging AP coursework in physics, Calculus, Computer Science, English and History giving me a very solid academic foundation from which I continue to strive. Aside from academics, I was a part of the JROTC in high school where I became the Regimental Commander (highest ranking cadet) in my school. There, I lead the 250+ person unit in leadership development and discipline through managing events, meetings and public speaking. This experience allowed me to develop interpersonal and leadership skills which I can apply to working with other students in tutoring. I am able to juggle difficult situations and device efficient and logical solutions with these acquired problem solving skills.
Now, I'm at the Hilltop Microfinance Initiative at Georgetown as a Client Services Representative and a Summer Intern. In this position, I help HMFI, the largest student-run microfinance initiative in the nation give out small business loans to entrepreneurs and business owners in the DMV area. My role specifically is to maintain client relations and take them through the loan application process through a client call and document collections. I am also an analyst for Georgetown's Impact Investing Group where I conduct market research and financial analysis on environmentally responsible companies and develop pitch presentations. I am also the new treasurer for Georgetown's Italian Club where I will be managing our club's budget and coordinating with the Italian department to organize events and trips.
Some of my interests include baseball, and I am on the Georgetown Club baseball team and have played travel baseball my whole life. I also play piano and have been since I was 2 years old.
