Hello, I’m Jenny and I’m a Sophomore at Columbia university majoring in Biochemistry. I’ve always had a passion for the maths and sciences and I would love to help students out on these topics. With each lesson, I cater to the student’s needs: working with students to learn new topics, answering questions they don’t understand, and/ or reviewing concepts for their next test. I make sure that all students stay on track with their work and end each session by giving then in depth notes of the tutoring sessions so they can review.
For the past 5 years, I’ve had experience tutoring students ranging from the elementary to high school level. In the past year, I’ve tutored 10 students for over 400+ hours in topics such as Algebra 1, Algebra 2/trigonometry, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Statistics, etc. Through tutoring, I’ve helped these students prepare for their AP, regents, and state exams; All students reported having improved performance in their respective classes.
In high school, I’ve received 5s on both AP Calculus BC and Statistics. In the sciences, I’ve gotten 5s on AP Physics C, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, and AP Psychology, and I’d be happy to tutor in any of these subjects. I’ve also gotten 5s on AP US History, AP Government, AP World History, AP Micro/ Micro Economics, etc. I feel confident in tutoring students in any of these subjects listed.
