I am a dental student with a master’s degree from Rutgers, and my academic background has given me a strong foundation in biology, psychology, reading, writing, and quantitative problem solving. Through my training in the health sciences, I have spent years learning how to break down complex material, organize large amounts of information, and explain concepts clearly. I am especially comfortable tutoring Biology, Psychology, ACT English, and SAT Math because these subjects connect directly to skills I have used throughout my own education: scientific reasoning, reading comprehension, grammar, test strategy, and structured problem solving.
My tutoring approach is patient, practical, and very student-centered. I like to first understand how a student thinks through a problem, then help them build a repeatable method they can use on their own. For test prep, I focus on pattern recognition, eliminating trap answers, timing strategy, and learning the “language” of the exam. For science subjects, I help students connect facts into systems, using diagrams, examples, and simple explanations so the material feels less like memorization and more like something that actually makes sense.
I have experience helping classmates and younger students understand difficult academic material in one-on-one settings, especially when they feel overwhelmed or unsure where to start. I know what it feels like to face demanding coursework, so I try to make tutoring encouraging without lowering the standard. My goal is not just to help students get the right answer, but to help them become more confident, organized, and independent learners. I want students to leave each session feeling like the subject is a little less intimidating and a lot more manageable.
