As a Comparative Ethnic Studies instructor at Washington State University, I have taught multiple semesters of “Race and Racism in the United States,” a course that explores the historical and contemporary experiences of African Americans (and other marginalized groups) through an interdisciplinary lens. However, I consider myself to be a very quick reader due to my extensive graduate work; I can discuss most works of literature of this caliber if given a few days of prep time.
