Hello there. I have been teaching middle and high school math for the past 18 years in Westchester county and the bronx NY. I originally went to college for finance and accounting, graduating with my BS in both. I decided a few years later to return to school to get my masters in education with a concentration in math. I was then certified to teach math in New York. I have always been very strong in math and my analytical mind is something I want to share with others. I finally returned to school to get my special education certification.
I have spent the past 18 years teaching all types of math courses. I have taught both 7th and 8th grade math in middle school. Most of my experience and expertise comes teaching Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre calculus, and Trigonometry. These are the courses where i have taught the most years and have tutored the most for, especially for the Regents Exams. I also have experience with SAT and ACT Test prep, both only for the math portions.
I have been tutoring the majority of the 18 years I have been in education. Mostly 1 on 1, but I have done small group tutorings. I enjoy working with students 1 on 1 and giving them my full attention and watching how fast they grow as students.
