Hi! I'm Dustin and I am a flutist and music educator. I do not come from a family with classical musicians, and my parents took convincing to get me my first regular private lessons in high school because they didn't know the benefits of 1:1 music instruction. I understand the struggle of balancing schoolwork with tons of extracurriculars. My goal as a teacher is to work together to meet my student's own playing goals with individually-crafted lessons. I strive to provide each student with techniques to make the most efficient use of their time practicing their flute. I believe in pulling inspiration from diverse sources when exploring artistry, and getting out of one's comfort zone to build confidence. I hold a Master's degree in flute performance and a Bachelor's degree in music education and flute performance. I also currently hold a teaching certification for K-12 Music in New York State.

I also have 2 years of experience tutoring undergraduate students in music theory, and have taught a semester of AP Music Theory to high school students.
