In addition to my classroom experience, I have also worked for various Education companies like Pearson, Educational Testing Services, and Renaissance Learning, Inc. This work has included assessment writing for national testing materials, as well as content writing for online learning platforms. Therefore, I am incredibly well-versed in the macro and micro components to ELA education and assessment.
I am also a traditionally-published author of Young Adult fiction. This aspect of my professional life posits me in a unique position to not only be adept at teaching the technical aspects of Literature, assessments, and writing mechanics, but also creative writing. I have presented at multiple state and national conventions and have instructed writing workshops at a large number of schools as a guest author.
