I am an experienced writing teacher and tutor. I have certification in English and Special Education for secondary schools. I have taught middle school and high school English as well as creative writing for college freshmen. I also have years of experience tutoring middle school, high school and college students.

I have a Bachelor's in communication from SUNY Geneseo and a Master's in journalism from Syracuse University and a Master's in Fine Arts in creative writing and literature from Bennington College.

I enjoy helping students write academic papers on texts they are reading, build their reading skills, and improve their creative writing. I also like helping students learn how to revise and proofread their writing.

I love being able to get to know students one-on-one through tutoring and helping them find new ways to learn. My tutoring style is student-centered in which we work with your preferred learning styles. I am there to set goals and hold you accountable in the learning process.
