Hello, I am certified in NY- K-12 reading and ENL, 7-12 business and social studies, K-6 all subjects. I have a Masters in English as a Second Language and an MSW along with a PhD in strategic leadership and administrative studies.
I have taught ESL at the elementary, high school and community college levels to adults from fifteen countries. For ten years I have worked as a professional writing tutor one to one and online to students 18 to adults going at a community college. Many adults are going back to school to be retrained. I engage students by discussing, questioning, and asking them for their input. We work on brainstorming together, developing a thesis, for essays in physical therapy , lab reports, English and any other subjects. I have recently done private tutoring for the SATs. I know a little French and Spanish and enjoy learning about other cultures.
I have traveled to over 50 countries Italy, Spain , Slovakia, taught government officials at the Prague Castle, Israel, Haiti, Cameroon, India, Puerto Rico. I was in the Air Force and Army. I volunteer with Red Cross.
