Hello! My name is Ritik, and I'm a PhD candidate in mathematics at the University of Connecticut. My research sits at the intersection of machine learning, number theory and computer science, and my broader training covers real and complex analysis, abstract algebra, linear algebra, topology, among other subjects.
I am deeply passionate about teaching mathematics, especially calculus. I have experience teaching Calculus I and II to over 300 students over the course of two years, and have worked with undergraduates of all levels. I am also comfortable working with students at the high-school level in all areas, including Algebra I and II, Geometry, and Precalculus. I believe math is for everyone, and am a committed teacher who aims to help students achieve their goals.
My strongest areas for tutoring are single and multivariable calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, real analysis, abstract algebra, and proof-writing. I am also well-positioned to help with standardized test preparation, including the SAT and ACT, along with competive mathematics preperation. My approach emphasizes deep understanding over rote memorization, and I aim to help all students not only succeed, but excel in their respective pursuits.
