Hi there! I’m Gabby, a high school English teacher with a deep love for ELA and education. I graduated at the top of my master’s program in Adolescent Education: English, earning the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement in English at Adelphi University. At the moment, I’m pursuing my doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction at St. John’s University School of Education. With that, I am also a full-time high school educator and a Princeton Review–certified SAT Reading and Writing instructor.
Before entering education, I worked as a marketing copywriter, which shaped my ability to visually engage students and make complex material feel accessible and relevant. I’ve worked with students across a wide range of abilities and learning styles, and I prioritize structure, warmth, and confidence in every session.
My students know that in my classroom, scaffolded support is available when needed and gradually removed as confidence grows. I help students develop independence while mastering SAT Reading and Writing strategies, Regents preparation, and academic or college essay writing.
I look forward to working with students who are ready to build their academic confidence, strengthen their ELA skills, and approach writing with a stronger set of eyes and a growth mindset!
