I am a sophomore undergraduate student at Hofstra University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Comparative Literature. Throughout both high school and college, I have consistently earned placement on the Dean’s List, reflecting my strong academic performance and dedication to learning. I am also a native Spanish speaker and have completed college-level Spanish courses, which have further strengthened my language skills and understanding of grammar, literature, and formal written Spanish.

I began tutoring formally in high school through one-on-one sessions and have continued tutoring informally at home. As the oldest sibling in my family, I have extensive experience helping younger students with homework, test preparation, and skill-building, particularly in Algebra I and Spanish. These experiences have allowed me to work with students at different academic levels and learning styles. I am comfortable tutoring students from elementary school through high school in both subjects.

My tutoring style is patient, structured, and individualized. I focus on identifying each student’s strengths and areas for improvement, then breaking down concepts into clear, manageable steps. In Algebra I, I emphasize building a strong foundation through guided practice and explanation rather than memorization. In Spanish, I support students with grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and speaking confidence. My goal is to help students improve academically while developing confidence and independence in their learning.
