I am currently a middle school math teacher and Head Varsity Basketball Coach at a college preparatory boarding school in New Hampshire. I teach Pre-Algebra and Algebra to students in grades 7–9, and I work with middle school and high school students daily in both classroom and athletic settings. Before becoming a teacher and coach, I attended Brooks School and continued my academic and athletic career in college, where I scored over 1,000 career points as a collegiate basketball player. These experiences have shaped the way I teach, mentor, and support students by emphasizing confidence, discipline, preparation, and consistent growth.
My tutoring approach is patient, structured, and encouraging. In math, I focus on helping students understand concepts step-by-step instead of simply memorizing procedures, and I work to make difficult topics feel more manageable. In basketball, I help athletes develop their fundamentals, basketball IQ, confidence, conditioning, and overall mindset. Whether I am working with a student in the classroom or an athlete on the court, my goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel supported, challenged, and motivated to improve.
I have experience working with students one-on-one, in small groups, and in full classroom or team settings. I understand that every student learns differently, so I try to adjust my explanations, examples, and teaching style to meet each student’s needs. I believe strong tutoring is about more than giving answers; it is about helping students build independence, better habits, and confidence in their own ability. My goal is to help each student grow academically, athletically, and personally through clear instruction, accountability, and encouragement.
